Thursday 6 April - 50,403 Registrations for 101st Four Days Marches

50,403 people from all over the world have registered for the 101st Four Days Marches. Of these people, 38,882 walkers were immediately guaranteed a starting place. A maximum of 47,000 starting tickets are available, so the remaining 11,521 starting places will be divided in the draw on Friday 7 April. This means that 3,403 people will get the unfortunate message that they will not be able to participate this year. Read more...

Thursday 16 February - Changed starting and signing off procedure for individual participants with start and finish area the Wedren

During the Four Days Marches, more than 35,000 participants need to report daily to the registration desks at the Julianapark. Participants mention the shortening of the lines at the sign off as one of the main points of improvement. This year we aim to spread the flow of participants at the sign off over the different registration desks, and thereby limit the waiting time as much as possible, by introducing a new procedure. Thursday 26 January - Change in starting times: 30km in two separate groups as well

We have seen that the number of participants on the 30km distance has increased over the past few years. We expect that in the coming years there will be even more participants on the 30km distance. Therefore the board of Stichting DE 4DAAGSE has decided that, starting this year, not only the 40km walkers will start in two separate groups, but the 30km will start in two separate groups as well. For the starting times for all distances and for the groups see the Regulations governing Start & Sign-off 2017.

Thursday 5 January - Flag Parade returns, no 55km in 101st Four Days Marches

The 101st edition of the Four Days Marches, which is to take place from 18 to 21 July this year, will not include the 55km distance. The Flag Parade in the centre of Nijmegen, followed by an official Four Days Marches opening ceremony at De Wedren, however, is back for another year. Registration for the 101st International Four Days Marches Nijmegen will open at 8am on Monday 30 January. Read more...
