Story of Ezra & Senn
In the 4Days Marches Magazine of the 107th edition, 11-year-old twin brothers Senn and Ezra enthusiastically shared their plans: they were going to take part in the 4Days Marches for the very first time, together with their mother. And not only that — they were walking for KiKa (a Dutch foundation for children with cancer) and had already raised an impressive €800 before the event even began. Their goal? To raise at least €2,000. That gave them a huge boost.
Now that the 4Days Marches are behind them, we caught up with them to look back. How did it go?

“It actually went really well,” the boys say. “Every day after we finished, we still had enough energy to go outside and play with our friends — and sometimes even go for a little run!” Meanwhile, their mother was mostly happy to find a quiet spot in the shade at the end of the day.
No blisters, no pain, and mission accomplished
Ezra and Senn didn’t experience any issues: no blisters, no aches, no low moments. What stuck with them most was the atmosphere:
“In every village we walked through, the crowds were cheering. There was music, food, and celebration everywhere. That was so much fun.” And because they walked at a good pace, they avoided most of the busy crowds, which made the walking even more enjoyable.
The best part? They reached their goal for KiKa. “After four days of walking, the total raised was a whopping €2,375. What an amazing amount and what amazing kids!” says their mother proudly.
Day by day
Day 1 was the toughest — understandable, as the nerves were still there.
Day 2 turned out to be much easier: “We thought it would be hard, but it really wasn’t.”
Day 3 was their favorite: “It went super fast and was really beautiful through the woods.”
Day 4 was a big party: “It was really hot on the dike, but because we walked fast, it didn’t last long.”
Ezra and Senn can look back with pride on their first 4Days Marches. Not only did they complete 120 kilometers without a scratch, but they also walked with joy for a great cause. And they’re already excited for more.
