The 4Days Marches has sold out earlier than ever! Due to overwhelming interest, the limit of 47,000 participants for the 105th edition has been reached on Tuesday 14 February. The organisation expresses great thanks to all the persistent and patient fans. They continued to try to get a ticket despite a poor start.

New registration system

In 2023, It was decided to eliminate the draw  in order to give participants an earlier clarity about a possible participation in the 4Days Marches. The registration operated a full is full principle, whereby young participants and former participants were given the opportunity to register earlier during the first registration period. On Monday 13 February, over 14,000 tickets were still available and anyone interested in participating could register.

Due to a technical issue, it took more time for thousands of walkers to register. Around midday, the problems seemed to be mostly fixed and the organisers saw registrations coming in again.

Military participants

A total of 6,000 places were reserved for military participants of which 1,950 were for Dutch militaries. In the first registration period, Dutch militaries could register in detachment form. As a result, the number of tickets for individual military personnel stood at 593 on 13 February at 10.00 hrs CET.

The demand was many times greater than the supply, which meant that not every Dutch military person was able to register as a military participant. However, they could still choose to register as a civilian participant.

No additional sales of tickets

Update 16 March: This year, participants had to pay directly at registration to be assured of a ticket. With the introduction of the new registration method, there are nearly no cancelled tickets. Of course, we are very pleased about this, but it also means that there will be no additional sales of tickets.

As before

After two years of corona and an unsold-out '3Daagse', the organisers are delighted that interest in the world's largest walking achieving event is greater than ever. The board and organisation team of the 4Days Marches look forward to setting a new benchmark for the years to come with the sold-out edition in 2023. Here's to a great 105th (anniversary) edition of 'The Walk of the World'!
