Registering as a civilian group

The 104th 4Days Marches will take place from 19-22 July 2022. Registration is closed.

Anyone who wants to participate in the 4Days Marches with a civilian group must first register individually. A group can then be formed between May and 30 June on My 4Days. You can read on this page exactly how this works and what the conditions are for participating as a group.

A bit different this year

If you have previously participated with a civilian group in the 4Days Marches, the approach this year may take some getting used to. In the past, all group participants in a civilian group were registered by the contact for that group. Also, where it used to be that civilian groups were automatically assured that they could participate, this is not the case in 2022.

Step 1: register individually

If you want to participate in the 4Days Marches with a civilian group, you must first register individually. You do not have to state that you intend to participate with a group. Click the button below to see all the information on registering as an individual civilian participant. The page also has a link to the online registration module.

Step 2: form a group

Once the registration period has closed, the person designated by the group as group contact can start forming the civilian group. This can be done on My 4Days from May up to 17.00 hrs CET on 30 June. A group consists of a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 41 participants who are registered and who have paid their registration fee for the 104th 4Days Marches. No changes to the group can be made after 17.00 hrs CET on 30 June.

You can read more about the conditions that groups need to meet in order to take part in the 4Days Marches in the Regulations for Civilian Groups.

Participation as a civilian group is subject to a number of additional conditions. It is important that during the 4Days Marches you clearly show that you belong together! So wear recognisable group clothing and walk together in orderly groups on the same distance on all days. It is up to the group leader to ensure that all conditions are met during the 4Days Marches.

More info

The registration limit for the 104th 4Days Marches has been set at 49,000. If there are more than 49,000 registrations once the registration period has closed, a draw will be held on Monday 4 April. If you registered for the 4Days Marches in 2020 and paid your registration fee in 2020, you are assured of a place in the 2022 event and do not have to take part in the draw. The Restriction protocol explains who is not assured of a place and so will be entered in the draw.

You can check the age table on the Distances page to see which distance is open to you. Please note: all members of the group must walk the same distance, and no member is allowed to walk a shorter distance than the regulation distance that applies to that person.

The registration fee for the 104th 4Days Marches is €104. You will find more information on the registration fee, the method of payment, and when you can expect your starting ticket on the Payment and confirmation page.

If you want to participate in the 4Days Marches together with friends, family or fellow employees as a civilian group, you determine in advance who the group contact will be. This person has the important task of forming the group on My 4Days from 19 April onward. The group must have at least 11 participants by no later than 17.00 hrs CET on 30 June. If this is not possible, the group will be dissolved and everyone will remain registered as an individual participant.

In addition to a group contact, each civilian group has a group leader who is responsible for the group at all times and who ensures that this civilian group always complies with the regulations during the 4Days Marches.
