During the Four Days Marches thousands of walkers, visitors and partygoers visit the city of Nijmegen. Since this event is so well-visited, it has consequences for the city's accessibility. Because start and finish area De Wedren is located in the city center, it unfortunately is not possible to make separate parking facilities available for press representatives. More information about parking options during the Four Days Marches can be found on the page Transport & Housing - Car.

Please note: the Waal bridge is being renovated. During the Four Days Marches, the traffic situation on the bridge is different than in previous years. Read more...

Every day, for almost 5 years, allied soldiers who fought for the freedom of the Netherlands are being honored in Nijmegen. At sunset, 48 pairs of lighting columns are lit at the pace of a slow march over the Oversteek city bridge. On Monday 15 July, the commemoration will mark the 75th anniversary of Market Garden. During this short march, soldiers from the US, UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands, among others, walk with customs officers, police officers and civilians. Journalists are also welcome to join.
