Scanning confirmation on smartphone for 50km participants

In the context of convenience and sustainability, the possibility of not having to print the confirmation is an increasingly expressed wish of both the participants and the organization. This year, the Four Days Marches therefore starts a small-scale pilot with scanning the confirmation from smartphones among participants on the 50km. Individual participants on the 50km can sign in at each 50km-registration desk with a confirmation on smartphone as well as with a confirmation on paper. All other participants can only sign in with a confirmation on paper.

If the pilot runs positively, in 2020 it will also be possible for participants at the other distances to have their confirmation scanned this way.

Instructions

To make the pilot a success, we need your cooperation. If you are a 50km participant and choose to have the confirmation scanned from your smartphone, be well prepared and follow the instructions below when you arrive on Sunday or Monday. This way we keep waiting times as short as possible. If you do not follow these instructions, you will be asked to leave te queue and give priority to the other participants.

• Make sure you have the confirmation ready on your smartphone when signing in. If you cannot open pdf-files on your phone, download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader via App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
• Make sure the brightness on your phone is set as high as possible.

Please note that 50km participants are not obligated to have the confirmation scanned from a smartphone. If you prefer to take your printed confirmation to the Wedren, that is still possible. You are free to make this choice yourself.
