During the Four Days Marches thousands of people visit the city of Nijmegen to cheer on family or friends, or to witness this great walking event and to enjoy the amazing atmosphere when over 42,000 walkers from all over the world walk through the city of Nijmegen and it surroundings for four consecutive days.
Since this event is so well-visited, it has consequences for the city's hospitality, its availability and its public transport. Walkers and visitors are advised to make use of public transport or bicycle.

Information about parking, public transport and road blocks in Nijmegen during the Four Days Marches is collected on a special website of the City Council of Nijmegen. This website is online in the entire month of July.
Activities during the Four Days Marches Week
As a visitor of the Four Days Marches, there is a lot to do in Nijmegen, but also in the surrounding municipalities. There are all kinds of activities and of course it is also nice to cheer on the thousands of walkers somewhere along the route. Look here for the program of the surrounding municipalities.
On Friday, as thousands of walkers on the Via Gladiola are on their way to the desirable and well-deserved Four Days Marches Cross, it is not easy for visitors to reach Nijmegen and find a place along the route. With all these advices and suggestions you will be well prepared to come to Nijmegen and cheer on the thousands of walkers. Fortunately spectators come to Nijmegen in large numbers to witness this spectacular multi-day walking event. You are welcome, but be aware of the walkers and don't hinder them by standing on the road or walk along on the last few kilometres. Give the walker space!
